From March 30 to 31, 2019, the first Anhui Collegiate Competition for International Standard Dance / Sport-Dance was held in Wuhu. Team AHMU coached by Prof. Chen Xiaorong, Prof. Zhou Zhenmao and Ms. Yuan Ding won the championship for Modern Dance in the category of female group of 6.
On the first day of the event, team AHMU won the third place in Latin Dance in the category of female group of 6. Afterwards, they went on to win the championship for Modem Dance in the category of female group of 6. On the next day, two of our dancers brought out outstanding performance and were awarded bronze medals in the individual events.
It’s reported that AHMU has been advancing Physical Education course reformation at an active and steady pace, in light of the practical condition of our university. AHMU has made great effort to carry out the strategic plan “promoting the organic integration of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetics and labour education; and enhancing the comprehensive quality of students”, which was proposed by Outline of National Medium and Long-term Educational Reform and Development Plan. Our university has been committed to the all-round development of the students and a steady improvement in their comprehensive qualities and physical fitness.
