On the morning of November 8, 2019, the inaugural meeting of the Department of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine was held at the First Affiliated Hospital in Hefei High-tech Zone. Dong Mingpei, deputy director of the Provincial Health Commission, director of the Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and vice president Yu Yongqiang of AHMU attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
At the meeting, Dong Mingpei briefly introduced the current situation and requirements of revitalizing and improving traditional Chinese medicine. He emphasized that China has been attaching great importance to and strongly supporting the development of traditional Chinese medicine. The Department of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine should focus on their respective advantages of Traditional Chinese and Western medicine, coordinate their development, seize opportunities, give full play to Chinese and Western medicine in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, maintenance of health, scientific researches, etc., and make more contributions to the Healthy Anhui Action.
AHMU has been actively exploring and strengthening the disciplinary construction of clinical medicine, hoping to establish a closer and pragmatic cooperation with various units through the disciplinary platform, to reach the full potential of disciplines and talents of our clinical colleges, and to improve the quality of talent training, scientific researches and medical techniques.
