The cultural events, “Cultural Masters Visiting Universities” and “Introducing Intangible Cultural Heritage to Campus”, brought cultural feasts to AHMU teachers and students on November 9, 2021.

During the events, the delegations of six provincial art associations, including Calligraphy Association, Artists Association, Musicians Association, Dancers Association, Photographers Association and Film and Television Association, carried out voluntary guiding activities for AHMU teachers and students in literature and art such as calligraphy, painting, music, dance and photography, together with AHMU Calligraphy and Painting Amateurs Association, Photography Amateurs Association, Film and Television Amateurs Association, Huangmei Opera Amateurs Association, Renxin Folk Orchestra, QuyiClub, Fanghua Dance Club and Zhumeng Folk Music Club. The delegations popularized the art of drama, film and television, and displayed patriotic films for public welfare, to make our teachers and students feel the charm of culture on site. Renxin Folk Orchestra of our university performed Horse Racing during activities, which was highly praised by the masters present. The students also brought their own calligraphy and painting works and invited the masters to make their comments. Our students created calligraphy and painting works under the guidance of the masters present, and they jointly completed some calligraphy and painting works.
The intangible cultural heritage experience activities were carried out in the campus culture square. During these activities, the Anhui Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Association invited 12 representative national-level, provincial--level and municipal-level inheritors of intangible cultural heritage programs to show their representative works and exquisite skills on site, including Jieshou painted pottery firing skills, paper fabrication skills, mulberry paper making skills, Huizhou ink, Wushan iron characters and fire-pen painting, Luzhou kernel carving, Linquan brush making skills, Luzhou dough sculpture, woodblock printing, Luzhou inside painting and Luyang paper cutting. They guided students to experience these skills and handicrafts. Our teachers and students experienced the charm of intangible cultural heritage at a close distance.
On the evening of the events, together with AHMU amateurs, the renowned opera artists, singers, dancers, folk music performers and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage gave a thematic artistic performance of “Inheritance and Dream” to our teachers and students. Several students associations of our university, including Renxin Folk Orchestra, Huangmei Opera Amateurs Association and Fanghua Dance Club, participated in the performance. There was a total of 220 students assisting in whole show, and their performance added youthfulness and vitality to the success of the events.
