Professor Tao Fangbiao Wins Wu Jieping-Paul Janssen Medical & Pharmaceutical Award

Recently, the 22nd Wu Jieping-Paul Janssen Medical & Pharmaceutical Award was released by the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the National Health Commission. Professor Tao Fangbiao from AHMU won the award (hereinafter referred to as “Wu-Yang Award”).

Approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Wu-Yang Award was established by the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the National Health Commission in 1994, which aims to honor and reward outstanding young and middle-aged medical and health professionals who have made outstanding contributions in the field of medicine and health and are widely recognized by their peers. In the past 20 years, Wu-Yang Award has become one of the most influential awards supported by social forces for the development of medical and health undertakings. Among the 14 winners this time, 2 including Professor Tao are from the field of public health.

Professor Tao has been engaged in the teaching and scientific research of maternal, child and adolescent health for 35 years. His main research fields are effects of environmental exposure during early life on maternal and child health, adolescent development and behavioral health.
