During the winter vacation, the School of International Education organized a series of well-designed activities and provided caring services for nearly a hundred international students remaining on campus during the holiday, including the celebration of the Chinese New Year.
Before the festival, Mr Huang Huaxing, Secretary of the CPC Party Branch of the School of International Education, on behalf of AHMU, visited the international students who remained on campus during the winter vacation. He inquired in detail about their study, campus life, and health condition, especially for those who had just returned from abroad. He hoped everyone would continue to take protective measures to maintain physical and mental health, and that they would arrange the vacation wisely in the post pandemic period. He told the students to contact the school if there were any difficulties.
On the New Year’s Eve, the leaders and teachers of School of International Education came to decorate the students’ dormitories with Chinese knotting, window paper-cuts, couplets and other decorations. They also brought epidemic prevention supplies and New Year’s gifts to students, and wished all international students a happy Chinese New Year, good luck and much progress in the Year of the Rabbit. International students expressed heartfelt gratitude to the school and the university for the thoughtful care and assistance.
The series of activities let the international students fully experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture, appreciate the humanistic care of our school, and feel the homelike warmth and happiness.
