From July 20 to 27, 2019, the 33rd Chinese University Students Handball Championship was held as scheduled at Shanghai University of Electric Power. AHMU men’s handball team won the second prize.
It is reported that this competition was sponsored by the Federation of University Sports of China and undertaken by Shanghai University of Electric Power. A total of 44 teams from 33 universities including the University of Science and Technology of China, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Tongji University participated in the competition. Under the leadership of Chang Chun and Sheng Zhijin, teachers of Department of Physical Education of School of Humanistic Medicine, all the men’s handball team members of AHMU competed with outstanding students from all over the country in the 7-day competition. This is the second time that AHMU handball team participated in the national competition. After learning the lessons from last game, AHMU handball team played its own style with proficient skills, smart tactics and tenacity. The award of this competition is inseparable from the emphasis of AHMU put on handball sports, which is another important achievement of AHMU sports construction.
