AHMU Students Win the Runner-up in the Inter-Medical School Physiology Quiz

AHMU won the runner-up at the 17th Inter-Medical School Physiology Quiz (IMSPQ) on August 22, 2019, which proves the best result of Chinese team since the event was founded.

After one-and-a-half-year active preparation and series of selection, Gao Qinyu, Chen Sixian, majoring in clinical medicine (Combined Bachelor-master Degree Programme) of The First Clinical Medical School, and Chen Weizhen, Zhou Taojie, majoring in clinical medicine of The Second Clinical Medical School, participated in the competition under the guidance of Ms. Liu Qiaoqiong and Ms. Fang Shushu from School of Basic Medicine. The competition is divided into written and oral test; the top 48 teams of the 100 schools had the chance to compete in the oral test. Ranking 7th with excellent written test scores, AHMU team successfully entered the oral examination and finally won the runner-up. The solid basic skills and flexible resilience of AHMU team throughout the competition fully demonstrated the style of AHMU students and left a deep impression on the experts and representatives of the participating countries.
It is reported that the Inter-Medical School Physiology Quiz aims to examine the medical students’ mastery and application of physiology knowledge and strengthen the teaching and research of physiology knowledge among international medical schools. The competition was hosted by the University of Indonesia and 100 medical school teams from more than 20 countries participated in the competition.
