On the morning of September 30, 2020, the signing and unveiling ceremony of Conch Hospital of Anhui Medical University jointly built by our university and Conch Group was held in Wuhu City. This cooperation is another strategic plan of the University to actively promote the layout and joint development of the medical system in northern, western, southern and eastern Anhui through the sharing of excellent medical resources and the grid construction of affiliated hospitals during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, and to build a “Healthy Anhui” medical service system by AHMU.
Gu Jiashan, Secretary of the University CPC Committee, Cao Yunxia, President of AHMU, Du Changzhi, Deputy Director of the Provincial Health Commission, Pan Zhaohui, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Wuhu City, Shan Xiangqian, Mayor of Wuhu City, Gao Dengbang, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of Conch Group and Guo Wensan, former Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of Conch Group, attended the ceremony, and jointly inaugurated Conch Hospital of Anhui Medical University.
This cooperation is the important step which illustrates the comprehension and implementation of President Xi Jinping’s important speech during his inspection in Anhui and significant instructions on the construction of pilot free trade zones, as well as the implementation of the State Council’s instructions to speed up the innovative development of medical education. At the same time, it is also a joyous and important event to deepen the cooperation of Industry-university research cooperation. It is also a concrete action for our University to enhance the “two supply capacities” of excellent medical talents and high-quality medical services. The collaboration is of positive significance to continuously improve the development level of medical and health services in southern Anhui, and develop Healthy Anhui and Healthy Wuhu Initiative.
