The 18th International Conference on Infectious Diseases (ICID) was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina from March 1st to 4th, 2018. HAILE HENOCK AMBACHEW, a Chinese government scholarship student of 2015 Batch, from Ethiopia, attended the conference on behalf of Anhui Medical University.
Haili introduced his doctoral thesis summary at the meeting entitled “Genotyping and Serum Virology Characteristics of Hepatitis B Virus in the Southern Ethiopia Blood Donors”, and exchanged his opinions on the comparative study between China and Ethiopia on the above issue. In addition, he also took part in “Dragons’ Den” contest with an intervention project and won the first prize, which aims to solve the problem of hospital-acquired infections through improving the training method of the hospital cleaners.
There are plenary lectures, briefing sessions and poster sessions presented every day during the four-day conference. About 2,200 participants from over 100 countries attended the conference.
