On March 26, 2018, the president of University of California, Riverside(UCR), Chancellor Kim A. Wilcox, visited Anhui Medical University. Li Jun, secretary of CPC Party Committee of Anhui Medical University, and Cao Yunxia, president of Anhui Medical University met with the guests cordially and had friendly talks with them. After that, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
During the talks, Li Jun gave a welcome speech to the guests and introduced the university’s international exchange and cooperation strategy and achievements. Cao Yunxia introduced the development history, discipline construction, professional setup, and scientific research achievements of the university to the delegation in detail. Kim A. Wilcox introduced various aspects of UCR. Subsequently, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and established a comprehensive cooperative partnership, intending to carry out substantive cooperation in the areas of mutual visits by teachers and researchers, student exchanges, scientific research, and sharing of resources.
Cao Yunxia also accompanied the guests’ visit to the high-tech zone branch of the first affiliated hospital of AHMU, listened to the detailed introduction of relevant personnel of various departments, and did observations in the operating rooms, wards, waiting areas and so on. The guests complimented the impressive construction of the affiliated hospital.
