Sponsored by the Committee on Reproductive Endocrinology of Association for Maternal and Child Health Studies and organized by The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University and Hubei Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital, The Third Annual Academic Conference of the Committee on Reproductive Endocrinology of AMCHS was successfully held in Wuhan from April 12 to 14, 2018. Chairman of the committee professor Cao Yunxia, also president of Anhui Medical University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a welcome speech.
In her speech, Prof. Cao expressed her sincere gratitude and extended the warmest welcome to all the leaders, experts, guests and friends present at the conference. She said, “We are honored to invite a number of experts home and abroad to the conference who are experienced and have made great achievements in the field of assisted reproductive medicine. They will share with us the newest findings and applications via keynote speech, symposium, intractable case study, youth forum and activity of ask-the-expert. The conference will be a precious opportunity for all the participants to make friends with each other, to communicate and learn from each other, to collaborate and make progress together.” Prof. Cao also wished that the conference, at which the latest development, knowledge and experience in the field of assisted reproductive medicine were presented, would be a feast for academic exchange, technology promotion and further education.
Jin Zhichun, vice president of Hubei Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital, presided over the opening ceremony. Some leaders and experts made speeches or delivered academic reports at the conference; they are Zhang Shikun, standing vice-chairman of Association for Maternal and Child Health Studies, Qiu Jie, director of Department of Maternal and Child Healthcare Service of National Health Commission, professor Liu Yixun, honorary chairman of the Committee on Reproductive Endocrinology of AMCHS, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and professor Qiao Jie, honorary chairman of the Committee on Reproductive Endocrinology of AMCHS, president of Peking University Third Hospital, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. More than 70 experts were also invited to the conference to lecture on the advances in gynecological endocrinology, reproductive medicine, maternal and child healthcare and clinical challenges in assisted reproductive therapy, among whom were professor Huang Hefeng, president of The International Peace Maternity & Child Health Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Doctor Li Man, laboratory chief of Western Fertility Institute. More than 900 specialists from all over the country attended the conference and spoke highly of it.
