From July 14 to August 11, 2018, 16 students from Anhui Medical University had been to the University of British Columbia in Canada and participated in the four-week-long Summer School Visit Programin Vancouver. The success of this summer visit has laid a good foundation for broadening students’ international perspectives and improving their professional cognitive level, professional practicalability and international communication capability.
The students who participated in the program were enrolled in different modules such as clinical medicine and nursing at the University of British Columbia in Canada, and learned clinical research and clinical skills incollaboration with students from more than 40 universities in different countries, combining theory with professional practice. In the English communication environment, the students expressed themselves confidently and deeply realized the collision of ideas and the enlightenment of thinking. After the course, all the students of our university successfully obtained their Certificates of Completion. With teachers’ affirmation and praise,a good image of AMU students has been demonstrated.
AHMU has attached great importance to promoting the internationalization of the university and actively promoted the cultural exchange and cooperation projects between China and foreign countries. This summer school visit program is our first international study activity carried out in cooperation with the University of British Columbia, with the largest number of students involved so far.
