Recently, China’s Ministry of Education announced the results of the registration and approval of undergraduate majors in colleges and universities in 2018. The two majors of Radiology (Code:100206TK) and Food Sanitation and Nutrition (Code:100402) declared by our university have been successfully registered and approved by the Ministry of Education.
The newly approved undergraduate specialties are designed to meet the needs of social development and public health. It was declared after feasibility study in accordance with the reality of our university. Up to now, the number of undergraduate majors in our university has reached 33.
The university will further optimize the specialty structure and layout, implement the spirit of the National Education Congress, the National Conference on Undergraduate Education in New Era and “The Plan of Action for the Construction of High-level Undergraduate Education in Anhui Province”, actualize the “Double Ten Thousand” Plan (construction of ten thousand national first-rate specialties and ten thousand provincial first-rate specialties) for first-rate specialty construction and actively distribute the development of emerging strategic industries, such as nursing for the aged, artificial intelligence, big data and the construction of majors related to people’s urgent need for livelihood.
