University Holds a Farewell Meeting for the Third Batch of Students of Sino-US Cooperative Education

On the afternoon of July 31, 2019,the First School of Clinical Medicine held a farewell meeting for the students of 2017 batch of Medical Laboratory Technology (Sino-US cooperative education) in the lecture hall on the first floor of Zhixing Building. The president Cao Yunxia attended the meeting and took photos with the students who are going abroad to study.

In her mobilization speech, Cao thanked Vision Bio-tech (Hefei) Co., Ltd. for donating money to support their study and the collective efforts from all relevant departments, which make the study trip easier and smoother. She asked the students to abide by U.S. local laws and respect their local customs. She encouraged the students to be patriotic, set aspirations to serve our country, study hard, dare to climb to the peak of science, and come back earlier with honors. She quoted the verses from a Chinese poem Youzi Yin(A Travelers’ Song), and told the students that alma mater is like a mother. No matter where the students are, the alma mater will be missing every one of them. Finally, she wished the students a smooth journey and a happy study.

It is reported that 8 students of the first 2015 batch of Medical Laboratory Technology (Sino-US cooperative education) have successfully graduated this year. There are 16 students from the 2016 batch studying in the US. This year, 31 students from 2017 batch will go to study in the United States, 24 of whom at Converse College, 7 at Arkansas State University, to finish their two-year study at the U.S. partner university.
