On May 7, 2020, Elsevier officially released the list of “Highly-Cited Scholars in China, 2019”. Professor Xu Dexiang of School of Public Health at our University was re-selected as the highly-cited scholar in the fields of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmaceutics.
Professor Xu Dexiang is mainly engaged in the researches of developmental and reproductive toxicology, and has successfully applied for the Key Laboratory of Environmental Toxicology in Anhui Provincial Universities. According to Scopus database, Professor Xu’s 163 SCI papers were cited 3219 times and 3220 times in Web of Science Platform. It is reported that Professor Xu Dexiang has led the scientific research team to undertake 28 NSFC projects, including 2 key projects; he has won one first prize and two second prizes of Anhui Science and Technology (NATURAL SCIENCE), two third prizes of Chinese Medical Science and Technology, one third prize of Chinese Preventive Medicine Science and Technology, and one award in Anhui Provincial Innovation Competition. In his research team, one person receives Special Government Allowance of the State Council, and two are selected as the Provincial-level Young Talents in Anhui Province.
Published by Elsevier, a world-famous publishing group, the list of Chinese Highly-cited Scholars uses Scopus data and the method of Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. The list covers 38 disciplines, including Environmental Sciences, Immunology and Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmaceutics. A total of 2163 scholars from 242 universities / scientific research institutions / enterprises are selected in this list, including 50 in Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmaceutics.
