On October 25, 2020, AHMU held the Opening Ceremony of Anhui Red Cross First Aid Training Workstation and the initial first-aid personal training class. Sun Qiyun, party member of Red Cross Society of Anhui, full-time vice president, and Lyu Xiongwen, the vice president of AHMU attended the ceremony and jointly unveiled the signboard for the workstation.
Uniting with Red Cross Society of Anhui, Anhui Red Cross First Aid Training Workstation was established to standardize our university’s first aid training work and the management and use of the volunteer emergency crew. Relying on the expert resources of Red Cross Society of Anhui and the affiliated hospitals of AHMU, AHMU will mine outstanding materials in the process of first aid training work, sum up practical experience of first aid training, strengthen the construction of first aid training places, so as to cultivate and popularize a number of talented first-aid training personnel with contemporary feature and regional characteristics, and build the first-aid training brand with Anhui characteristics, thus making greater contributions to promote the development of first-aid career in Anhui province, and construct a healthy and Beautiful Anhui province.
After the opening ceremony, AHMU workstation conducted the initial first-aid personnel training. Physical education teachers from School of Humanistic Medicine and more than 100 AHMU undergraduate representatives were involved in this training. The training courses are divided into: the basic knowledge of Red Cross movement, new concepts of first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation theory and its common emergency, theory of trauma care and its practices, common emergency, accidental injury, emergencies and the practical operation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. After the scene assessment, lifeguard certificates of Red Cross Society were issued to those who passed the assessment.
