Recently, the final of the Sixth National College Students’Biomedical Engineering Innovation Design Competition sponsored by Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering and hosted by Sun Yat-sen University drew a successful end.
The students from School of Biomedical Engineering of our university participated in the competition and won one national first prize, two second prizes and two third prizes respectively, which is the best result in Anhui Province. Besides, the national first prize was won by Anhui Province for the first time.
The competition attracted 2119 college students from 156 universities including Tsinghua University, University of Science and Technology of China, Southeast University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University and Sun Yat-sen University. Under the guidance of professional teachers, students took the integration of medical and engineering as the guiding principle. In the process of preparation, through repeated experiments, they verified the feasibility of the application of original medical devices in diagnosis and detection. During the competition, the code was continuously debugged and modified in a limited time, which improved the collection, diversity and stability of medical device data.
The competition represents the highest level of contests in biomedical engineering in China. It aims at encouraging college students to carry out innovative practice in the field of healthcare, and displaying the innovative achievements of contemporary college students in biomedical engineering and related fields, as well as providing more products and technologies with independent intellectual property rights for relevant domestic enterprises.
