The results of the Department of Urological Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of our university topped the list, which is eye-catching.

Under the guidance of the academic leader Professor Liang Chaozhao, the urology team of the hospital adheres to the deep study of urology, continues to carry out high-quality clinical basic researches, and makes steady progress in academic researches.
In 2021, Professor Liang Chaozhao was shortlisted as a globally active scholar, ranking the seventh among the most active scholars in the field of urology in China. In the statistics of published papers in the field of urology in China, the Department of Urological Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital ranked the eighth in China. Of the world’s most active institutions in urology, the Department of Urological Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital ranks the fourteenth among the world’s most active institutions.
According to statistics, in 2021, the Department of Urological Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital has been approved for 14 scientific research projects at all levels, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, Major Science and Technology Projects of Anhui Province, Natural Science Foundation of Anhui Province, and Natural Science Research Projects of Anhui Colleges and Universities. The total funding for it has reached 14.18 million RMB; 136 academic papers have been published, including 5 papers with SCI impact factor above 10 and 18 papers with impact factor from 5 to 10.
Based on the favorable clinical technology level, specialist reputation and scientific research output, in the Fudan University’s version of the “2020 China Hospital Rankings”, the Department of Urological Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital ranked the eighteenth in the national urology reputation list, and ranked the fourth in the urology reputation list in East China, with the continuous promotion of discipline influence.
