update:2023-07-10views:13

Professor Wang Xianwen from the School of Biomedical Engineering of our university, together with the research group of associate professor Jiang Zhengxuan from the Second Affiliated Hospital, published a paper titled Ultrasmall Coordination Polymer Nanodots Fe-Quer Nanozymes for Preventing and Delaying the Development and Progression of Diabetic Retinopathy in the Journal Advanced Functional Materials (IF=19.924). The research results developed and validated an artificial nanoparticle consisting of natural product molecules such as Flavonoids and metal ions as a successful drug delivery system for retinal drug delivery, providing new insights into catalytic nanomedicines for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy and other reactive oxygen species-related diseases. Gui Siyu, a graduate student of our university, is the first author of the paper, Wang Xianwen and Jiang Zhengxuan being the corresponding authors of the paper, with our university as the first author affiliation.

The research work has been supported by projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Anhui Province.
