On May 10, 2024, the Third Young Talents Recruitment Conference of Anhui Medical University was held in Hefei. Wang Qi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, presented Memorial Cups to the friendly cooperation units involved in the university’s talent work, and Weng Jianping, President of AHMU, gave a welcome speech and made a report on AHMU’s basic development. Xie Ruijin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the university and Secretary of the Party Committee of The First Affiliated Hospital of AHMU, attended the conference, and Xu Chaoyang, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee, Vice President of the university presided over the conference.
Weng Jianping, on behalf of the university, gave a warm welcome to the young scholars, and briefly introduced the development history and talent policy of AHMU. He said that over the course of nearly a century, AHMU always adheres to the fundamental task of fostering virtue and cultivating talent, generations of AHMU students adopt the inscriptions of “learning and practicing, training competent doctors” as the motto, and carry forward the glorious tradition of “devotion to the country and the people, dedication to human health”. Up to now, AHMU has cultivated more than 150,000 medical talents, among whom a large number of outstanding alumni emerged.
At the meeting, Professor Tao Fangbiao, representative of outstanding discipline leaders, Professor Wang Hua, distinguished talent representative, and Professor Xu Yin, talent introduction representative, shared their personal experiences and feelings about being connected to AHMU, striving for AHMU and joining AHMU. Dr. Nie Yu, as a representative of young scholars attending the conference, shared his vision of growing and developing in AHMU. The principal officials of the First Affiliated Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital, the School of Basic Medical Sciences, and the College of Biomedical Engineering delivered speeches on behalf of AHMU’s directly affiliated hospitals and colleges.
