On the afternoon of January 22, 2024, the University held a new round of promotion meeting for the application of doctoral and master degree programs, conveying the spirit of the new round of promotion meeting for the review of degree authorization in Anhui Province. Mr. Gu Jiashan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, presided over the meeting. LYU Xiongwen, the vice president of the university, and Zhang Zhi, the vice president of academia of the university attended the meeting.
Gu Jiashan stressed that the degree authorization program is an important symbol of the discipline level, talent training and scientific and technological innovation of colleges and universities in the new era, and an important indicator of building a first-class high-level medical university in China, which is related to the running level and high-quality development of the University. The application for new degree authorization programs is an important task of the university’s “Fourteenth Five Year Plan” career development plan, the top priority of the beginning of 2024, and also a “big test” for the achievements of our university’s academic degree construction in recent years. The time is particularly urgent and the task is particularly arduous. All units should attach great importance to the work and make every effort to “prepare for the examination”.
Gu Jiashan required that the application form should be carefully benchmarked and filled in in a scientific and standardized manner to ensure that the content of the application materials is clear and the data are detailed and verifiable. It is necessary to set up a joint work force integrating the university and schools, so as to truly unify in thought and action, and strive to achieve the expected results.
