On the morning of April 19, 2024, President of Anhui Medical University Weng Jianping had a special discussion with 12 representatives of “5+3” integrated program students on how to conduct useful scientific researches.
Weng Jianping stated that for the only university in Anhui Province that recruits clinical medicine majors of “5+3” integrated program, “5+3” integrated training program is an important measure to cultivate outstanding medical talents and innovate the medical training system. “5+3” integrated program students, being high-quality source of medical students of AHMU, should aspire to become medical talents with high quality of practical clinical skills, professional subject knowledge, and scientific research competency.
Weng Jianping used his own experience in data analysis of clinical (oral) professional masters passing medical licensing examination as an example to vividly illustrate the concept, thinking, and preparation of conducting useful scientific researches. He emphasized that to achieve a truly useful scientific research, all researches should be based on useful premises and practical problems found in the course of clinical practice via sufficient literature review, survey study, and data preparation.
