On October 26, 2024, the 9th East China Annual Conference on Pathophysiology and Anhui Medical University Southeast Forum was held in the first academic lecture hall of the library in Anhui Medical University. Chen Guoqiang, chairman of the forum, President of Hainan Medical University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huang Xiaojun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wang Qi, Secretary of the Party Committee of Anhui Medical University, and Zheng Junke, Vice Dean of the School of Medicine of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, attended the opening ceremony. Li Jinsong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the meeting. Zhang Zhi, Vice President of our university, presided over the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, Academician Chen Guoqiang introduced the overview and development vision of the East China Pathobiology Alliance in his speech, and expressed his heartfelt thanks to Anhui Medical University and Anhui Society of Pathophysiology, which hosted the forum.
Wang Qi expressed his heartfelt thanks to the leaders and experts who have long been concerned about supporting and helping the development of the university, made a brief introduction on the development of Anhui Medical University, and elaborated on the importance of scientific and technological innovation in the light of the spirit of General Secretary of CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping’s important speech during his visit to Anhui as well as the spirit of the National Education Conference.
Based on the principle of promoting the development of the discipline and academic exchanges, the forum invited well-known domestic experts and scholars in pathophysiology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Naval Medical University, Kunming Medical University, Anhui Medical University and other colleges and institutions, as well as national-level talents in related disciplines, to give presentations and exchanges on the progress of cutting-edge scientific issues including the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of tumor, stem cell transplantation, embryonic reproduction technology, and cardiovascular diseases.
